owen is our first born.  we adopted him from an animal shelter in melbourne...when he came to live with us he lead a lovely life in solitude - lounging in the sun and enjoying the whole house to himself.  the move to the twigs must have been quite an experience for him. not only did his surroundings completely change but he now had to share them. when we first brought mabel home she was smaller than him. he had the upperhand, but this wouldn't last for long. mabel quickly over took him and the tables turned.  i'm quite sure they don't realise they are different - they 'play' like they are both cats or both dogs. its really very sweet and we love them both dearly.
