flinders island
my buddy james and i spent the last few days zipping about flinders island - a small island off the north east coast of tassie. we were over there working with lots of little businesses, farmers, artists and tourism operators to help them get online and start using social media etc. we met some amazing people and saw some really amazing things. the days were crazy long and we were so so tired when we got back but i think it was well worth it. we are heading back a couple more times over the coming months so i'll be sure to share some of their stories down the track...

new norfolk - old bits
bb and i went for a drive to new norfolk on the weekend. we explored some of the amazing antiques and collectable shops out there. we hadn't visited for a while so there was lots of new spots to explore and things to see. the drill hall emporium is always a favourite and this visit didn't disappoint. we also stopped in at 20th century artefacts and the willow court antique centre. such great collections, we could have spent days searching through everything on offer!

queensland
at the beginning of the week, bb & i took a quick trip to queensland. it was a dear friend's birthday and the perfect excuse to see the sun. it always amazes me how warm it can be in brisbane in july! we were only away for a couple of days but it was lovely all the same. we got to visit goma which i thought was fabulous and most importantly we got to catch up with lots of buddies who live in the north.

gasp

| photos: room 11 |
each time i zip up the brooker highway i admire the lovely colourful footbridge that has popped up along the foreshore at elwick bay.
i've been meaning to get out of the car and have a closer look so recently i made the stop and had a peek about.
it's called gasp and it is pretty amazing. it's such a simple concept but so effective. i think room 11 have done a really beautiful job.
