the brunswick hotel on liverpool street has become a favourite city spot for bb & i to have an after work drink. they offer lovely tassie fare and a super cosy fire. apparently its been a pub since 1829 but i hear it wasn't always as fancy as it is now. it opened late last year after a revamp and i think it's definitely worth a visit.
